I contributed...

I contributed to the numbers of knitters in the world this weekend...I taught my 18 year old niece Courtney to knit on Saturday....

She is working away on a scarf...using size 11 needles and a skein of chunky wool-ease I happened to have in my stash...

Last seen doing very well....

I thought my niece recently and she's ready to learn binding off....doesn't it feel good to pass it on.

I did the same thing!!! My stepdaughter (who is 11) and my cousin (who is 10) have sleepovers just about every chance they get. At the last one, they both asked me to teach them to knit. The washcloths they made are "porous" to say the least, and of no geometric shape known to man, but they are wonderful! I can't wait to see them make hats and things for themselves.
