Caution...whining ahead
My family sucks...I really, really want to go camping and either they are working (damn jobs) or they just want to stay home with their friends and not go with Mom - I am going to load up a bin of yarn and drive myself 4 hours in some direction...build a fire...roast a marshmallow...and...knit...ALL BY MYSELF!!!!!

Go for it!!!Dont forget the Hersheys and graham crackers and a box of wet wipes(yarn and marshmellows may get a little sticky)
Sounds like fun to me! I don't mind doing things like that all by my lonesome once in a while.
On the other hand, you could drive west and I could drive east and we could meet for a day of knitting and coffee!!
