It has really helped me when I get to the second sock and need to know how many stitches I picked up on the heel flap and stuff like that. I write my start date, yarn used, needle size, # of stitches cast on, etc. It has been a life saver on more than one occassion.Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15406313414242936145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2530092215516704595.post-15898048694423425282007-11-14T16:21:00.000-06:002007-11-14T16:21:00.000-06:00I've never kept track of my projects but I'm going...I've never kept track of my projects but I'm going to starting in Jan on Ravelry...that is my mission at least. It sounds like such a good idea though.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2530092215516704595.post-75321963258190044552007-11-11T15:23:00.000-06:002007-11-11T15:23:00.000-06:00I bought a knitting journal about 2 years ago and ...I bought a knitting journal about 2 years ago and I religiously kept all the ball bands, snips of yarn and journaled about each and every project I made along with a photo. Now that I'm on Ravelry I've slacked on the journal a little bit but I do want to keep everything listed there as well. I also make notes about every FO on my blog too and I tend to look back to those entries most often.<BR/>Good luck!Carriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04628862226079124935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2530092215516704595.post-87462915996511851232007-11-11T13:07:00.000-06:002007-11-11T13:07:00.000-06:00I started out with a sort of yarn journal - I'd st...I started out with a sort of yarn journal - I'd staple a piece of the yarn and the yarn band into a notebook, write down what I made with it and any notes that I had about the yarn. This was pretty handy especially for washing instructions. Unfortunately, I got lazy about three years ago (and the notebook couldn't hold anymore without breaking the binding) and stopped.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2530092215516704595.post-81990231236343864312007-11-11T13:06:00.000-06:002007-11-11T13:06:00.000-06:00I never did until Ravelry. But I have never put them together. Now with Raverly I figure posting FO's will do the same thing. So I do not know if I will take the time to add them to the journal but I do know I will still keep a sample with the bands. So I'm no help here. Best intentions so little time.KSeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17267736470665844095noreply@blogger.com
